1st Round - 24th Overall
WILLIE MIDDLEBROOKS - CB - Minnesota   --   6'2 - 195 - 4.3

A small surprise considering Smoot, Fletcher and some receivers were there but Middlebrooks, though raw,  may be the best athlete out of all of those guys and he will fill a void Denver has at corner.

2nd Round - 51st Overall
PAUL TOVIESSI - DE - Marshall   --   6'6 - 250 - 4.75

I had Toviessi to the Broncos but in the 3rd Round. He may have made it there but Denver didn't want to wait for the pass rusher that they badly need. If Toviessi adds some weight, watch out.

3rd Round - 87th Overall
REGGIE HEYWARD - DE - Iowa State   --   6'5 - 245 - 4.77

An athletic pass rusher who is very light. He could add more weight with his large frame so his lightness isn't a huge concern, tough it must be addressed before he is an every down player.

4th Round - 113th Overall
BEN HAMILTON - C - Minnesota   --   6'5 - 300 - 5.3

Tom Nalen is one of the league's best, but he doesn't have a servicable backup. Hamilton is a great guy to groom. He was the best center on the board and was a nice pick here.

4th Round - 120th Overall
NICK HARRIS - P - California   --   6'2 - 215 - 4.9

This pick says something to Tom Rouen. Harris is younger and has a very strong leg. It was time for a change, although it's a small surprise that they went with Harris over David Leaverton.

6th Round - 190th Overall
KEVIN KASPER - WR - Iowa   --   6'0 - 195 - 4.5

A postseason riser with very reliable hands. He isn't the world's greatest athlete but he shows up to work. He has a chance to be Denver's third receiver behind Smith and McCaffery.

Mike Anderson
RB Mike Anderson was the NFL's top offensive rookie as he exploded onto the NFL scene. However, this year may not be as productive a year for Anderson with Olandis Gary and Terrell Davis returning, but still expect Anderson to get his share of carries. CB Deltha O'Neal contributed as a return man as a rookie but this year he will have to step it up as a corner as well. S Kenoy Kennedy will join O'Neal in the secondary as he is the likely starter. LB Ian Gold was great on special teams and may start to play more at LB this year. DT Jerry Johnson may see more playing time as well. QB Jarious Jackson saw limited action and a sleeper to watch is WR Muneer Moore.
