1.FRED SMOOT - Senior - Mississippi State
6'0  180  4.4
A cocky, confident corner with excellent quickness. Takes chances which isn't always good. Good on run support.

2.JAMAR FLETCHER - Junior - Wisconsin
5'10  175  4.4
The top corner in college, but size questions may move him down a bit in the draft. All pro caliber talent.

3.WILLIE MIDDLEBROOKS - Junior - Minnesota
6'2  190  4.25
Has the most upside of any CB in the draft. His size and speed are outstanding. Just needs some time.

4.GARY BAXTER - Senior - Baylor
6'2  200  4.5
A big, physical CB who has played safety. Should stay at CB  in the NFL. Excels in pressing bump and run coverage.

5.KEN LUCAS - Senior - Mississippi
6'1  190  4.45
A corner with nice size who is moving up the draft charts. Was torched in the Rebel's bowl game. A concern.

Wisconsin junior, Jamar Fletcher was one of College Football's best defenders in 2000. He even held his own against Michigan WR David Terrell who is widely considered the top prospect in the draft.

A JUCO transfer Fred Smoot became an All American in Joe Lee Dunn's attacking scheme. He will bring that same aggressiveness and cockiness to the NFL. He is a likely 1st Rounder

JAMIE HENDERSON - Senior - Georgia
6'1  190  4.5
A tall, lanky JUCO transfer who started at Georgia for two
years. Has a nose for the ball.

TAY CODY - Senior - Florida State
5'9  180  4.55
A better football player than athlete. Small, but has a good feel for the game. Is a natural playmaker.

JIMMY WILLIAMS - Senior - Vanderbilt
5'10  190  4.5
A dangerous return man as well as Corner. Unpolished as a football player but is a fluid athlete.

WILL ALLEN - Senior - Syracuse
5'10  188  4.38
A quick speedy player who lacks the strength to play bump and run and to help in run support. Needs to bulk up.

BHAWOH JUE - Senior - Penn State
6'0  190  4.5
Strong corner with good instincts playing the run. Is a good tackler. Lacks overall polish but has the talent.

NATE CLEMENTS - Junior - Ohio State
6'0  195  4.45
Great talent with fine speed and athleticism. Was burned by Minnesota's Ron Johnson. Needed another year.

Will Allen of Syracuse is very quick and fast, however, his slight build has scouts a little worried. If he can show that he can support the run and be effective jamming Wide Receivers at the line then he can move up the draft boards.

DEMPSEY DEES - Boise State
WALTER BERNARD - New Mexico
DELVIN HUGHLEY - Jacksonville State

WILLIAM PETERSON - Illinois State
DENNIS GIBBS - Idaho
ELIJAH BEAMON - Lafayette
ERIC JOYCE - Tennessee State
MONTRAE FORD - Carson Newman
KASEEM GAINES - South Dakota
Dempsey Dees (left), Dwight Smith and Ligarius Jennings can't really be considered sleepers. They may be from some lesser known programs, but scouts know about these guys. Smith and Jennings could be 2nd Round picks and Dees could be gone by the end of the first day
as well. On the other side of the  coin , Delvin Hughley and Tommie Dawson aren't as well known but have lots of talent. Both guys could be diamonds in the rough. Also look out for 6'2 Walter Bernard. and William Peterson, a talented underclassman.

Larry Caher is an underrated corner from Auburn. He is looking at a late round selection.

(LEFT) Utah CB Andre Dyson may soon join his brother Kevin of the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.

Miami's Mike Rumph would have gotten a 1st-2nd Round look this year, but he stayed in school. Rumph has great size at 6'2 and he is an aggressive tackler. He still has some coverage things to iron out but he is a key in a great secondary.
