1.DERRICK GIBSON - Senior - Florida State
6'2  205  4.45
A wonderful athlete who is quick and can cover a lot of ground. Needs a lot of technical work.

2.ADAM ARCHULETA - Senior - Arizona State
6'0  210  4.5
An all PAC-10 Linebacker who will now move to Safety. An aggressive, sure tackler who will have to learn the position

3.JAMES BOYD - Senior - Penn State
5'11  205  4.5
Good smart run defender. Plays physically and aggrssively.
Not too big or strong. Has missed some open field tackles.

4.HAKIM AKBAR - Junior - Washington
6'1  210  4.6
Good run stuffing Safety who declared early. Can be used on run blitzes, etc. Nice size.

5.TONY DRIVER - Senior - Notre Dame
6'2  205  4.55
Athletic former RB who had a nice season at Safety. Makes a lot of plays. Character is in question. Has the talent.

Derrick Gibson, maybe the Seminoles most gifted player and that's saying something. However, legal troubles and inconsistent play have dropped his stock.

Adam Archuleta, a college Linebacker whose size means he's an NFL Safety.

AL BLADES - Senior - Miami FL
6'1  200  4.6
A good athlete who physical and hits hard. Needs some refinement in his pass coverage. Should play SS.

CARL NESMITH - Senior - Kansas

A JUCO transfer who had a nice two year career with the Jayhawks. Big and strong, marginal in pass coverage.

JT THATCHER - Senior - Oklahoma
6'0  215  4.5
A swift, playmaking Safety and also a dangerous return man. Had 8 INT's in 2000. Great nose for the ball.

LAMONT THOMPSON - Senior - Washington State
6'3  210  4.4
Extremely athletic but not productive. Should be at the top. Great in coverage but not a good takler.

ADRIAN WILSON - Junior - NC State
6'3  215  4.6
Big, run blitzing type of Safety. Had over 200 tackles the last two years. Hasn't done much in the passing game.

LEO BARNES - Senior - Southern Mississippi
6'0  200  4.67
Can play corner as well. Nice size, not too fast. Not a great tackler and needs technical work in terms of coverage.

CORY BIRD - Senior - Virgina Tech
5'10  215  4.5
Solid player who makes tackles and can be a leader. Not very big which hurts his stock. Not great in coverage.

Miami's Al Blades certainly has the NFL bloodlines. His dad Bennie Blades and uncle Brian Blades both played in the NFL
