1st Round - 8th Overall
DAVID TERRELL - WR - Michigan   --   6'3 - 212 - 4.45

They needed defense and RB but Terrell was too good to pass up, and WR is a need too. With Marcus Robinson's injury questions and other questions about every other Bear receiver, Terrell looks like a good pick.

2nd Round - 38th Overall
ANTHONY THOMAS - RB - Michigan   --   6'1 - 225 - 4.6

The second Michigan man to the Bears (now only if they had Henson...). Thomas could take the job away from James Allen, if not this year then down the line. A nice pick even though Lamont Jordan was there.

3rd Round - 68th Overall
MIKE GANDY - G - Notre Dame   --   6'4 - 313 - 5.2

One of the top Guards in the draft and was expected to be selected right in this area. The Bears aren't exactly set at Guard so Gandy is going to get an oppurtunity to win a job.

4th Round - 103rd Overall
KARON RILEY - DE - Minnesota    --    6'2 - 250 - 4.7

An undersized but productive pass rusher. Riley should be able to contribute on passing downs as a rookie for the Bears. If he can add weight and retain his speed, then he can be an every down player, but only if.

5th Round - 138th Overall
BERNARD ROBERTSON - G - Tulane    --   6'3 - 300 - 5.0

Robertson is athletic and quick. He'll get the same shot Gandy will at Guard although Robertson is versatile enough that he could go out to Tackle if the Bears ever needed him to.

7th Round - 208th Overall
JOHN CAPEL - WR - Florida   --   5'11 - 175 - 4.3

The Olympic track star returns to football after taking a year off at Florida. He is inexperienced but his speed was too intriguing. He should be able to step in right away as a return man.

Brian Urlacher
LB Brian Urlacher made the Pro Bowl as a rookie and brought back some excitement in Bears football. Urlacher showed he was worthy of the 9th Overall pick in his first year. He was all over the field and made plays from sideline to sideline. More of the same will be expected in his 2nd year. More of the same will also be expected from S Mike Brown. A pleasant surprise as a rookie, Brown will begin this season as a starter. WR Dez White is a talented player who may see more playing time. White played a little as a rookie but now is his time to begin to contribute. K Paul Edinger was very good in his rookie season. He looks like he'll be around for a while.
